The Making of an Awesome Wine Label
Being called to design the wine label winner of the wine label contest, I’m thrilled to share the inspiration behind the label portraying Fritzie Leroy as a gracious queen.
The reason for the regal depiction lies in her last name itself. Leroy has its roots in French, meaning “the king.” Thus, I thought it would be fitting to portray her as a queen on the label.
The label’s central image features Mrs. Leroy as a peaceful queen standing confidently in her lush garden kingdom. Silvery vines wrap around glowing orbs lighting the space with a soft ambiance, representing the harmonious blend of nature and technology she embodies.
Despite the royal portrayal, there is a simplicity to the queen’s expression and posture. She exudes a quiet grace and approachability true to Ms. Leroy’s own personality. The pastel palette and natural surroundings reflect her commitment to balance and tranquility.
By creatively transforming Ms. Leroy into a benevolent queen, the label remains true to the meaning of her name while capturing the essence of the fine wine from DTC Ambassador. It’s a label as harmonious as the wine within.
The Image Creation Process

This initial idea establishes the core concept and subject – a woman with simplicity, an affinity for technology, and a regal sense about her.

Leonardo AI Image Generation: The detailed prompt from ChatGPT is input into Leonardo’s text-to-image generation model. Leonardo analyzes the sensory descriptions, artistic instructions, and imaginative elements. It then generates a unique digital image reflecting the scene constructed by the words.

AI still remains simply a tool for design. The first step begins with having a general idea or direction on what you want to talk about. We have used ChatGPT and Leonardo to design the final picture.
